Ms. Powers is a Partner of ECP and Managing Partner of ECP ForeStar, ECP’s sustainable credit solutions platform. She is also a member of ECP ForeStar’s Credit Investment, and Credit Operating Committee.

Prior to joining ECP in 2023, Ms. Powers was a Managing Partner at Forsight Sustainable Capital, which she founded given her passionate belief that informed and expertized credit capital can “move the meter” on the conversion of economic activities to be sustainable, lower carbon, and ultimately, enable the progression towards a true “net zero” economy. Prior to founding Forsight with her partner, Reiner Boehning, Ms. Powers was a Partner at Global Infrastructure Partners, where she was Chair of GIP Credit. Jennifer spent 5 years building the GIP credit business with Mr. Boehning, where she focused on making GIP Credit into one of the market leaders in infrastructure debt financing. Over the course of her 35 years in investment banking, capital markets and private credit, Ms. Powers spent 12 years in the energy investment banking and capital markets teams at Credit Suisse and was one of the founding members and senior leaders of RBS’s Credit Markets business, where she spent 11 years building it into a top credit franchise, culminating in a sale of the North American credit business to Mizuho in 2015.

Ms. Powers received a BA in Economics (magna cum laude) from Barnard College.
